Miss World Paraguay 2008 - Queen of Americas(?)

Yuki is the adopted daughter of Cross Academy’s headmaster, Kaien Cross. She is a first year student who acts as a Guardian to keep peace and harmony among the Day Class, consisting of mostly human students, and the Night Class, which are composed of vampires.

Despite her affection for Night Class Leader and President, Kuran Kaname, she has a fear of vampires due to her childhood experience of one of them trying to bite her. Kaname is an exception because he was the one who saved Yuki, but after she witnessed his vampire nature of feeding on one of Night Class students, she became distant to him, though her affections stubbornly remained.

New SItes by Collectors

Two of my good friends in the collecting community have taken to blogging themselves for the purpose of showcasing their collections. Both Francis and Jim's sites are great examples of how to share your love for your favorite Star Trek costumes. I urge you to check them both out.

Niner's Paradise Jim is a big DS9 fan and so his collection has many great costumes from that show. I love chatting with Jim as his passions for DS9 run as deep as mine. He even has TWO Garak costumes! The greedy bastard! :-)

Ferengi Costumes. Francis was a hoot to have at Vegas this year. He even wore his costumes and got in a full Ferengi costume. He is also a major womanizer, so I think he fits the Ferengi role well. Francis is our resident Ferengi expert on the Star Trek Prop Forum. His blog uses the same tool (Blogger) I do, and Francis does a great job of filling in details on the costumes with screencaps.

The Beach Beauty - Miss World 2008

Miss Mexico, Anagabriela Espinoza Marroquin, was the winner of the coveted award.

Miss Mexico is now one of this year's semi finalists, so she can now sit and relax waiting for the finals on December 13th. The 1st and 2nd runner-ups were Misses South Africa (Tansey Coetzee) and Russia (Ksenia Sukhinova), respectively.

The top 3 finalists were announced among a group of 10 beauties, which included the contestants from Angola, India, Lebanon, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Spain and Venezuela.
Completing the Top 25 semi finalists were the delegates from Australia, Colombia, Croatia, Egypt, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Paraguay, Serbia, Thailand, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, Ukraine, United States, Uruguay and Zimbabwe.
